Dumbleton Village Hall

Welcome to Dumbleton Village Hall

Dumbleton Village Hall is a wonderful example of Victorian architecture and has an interesting history.

At the heart of the village, the Hall provides facilities that are available to anyone - residents and non-residents alike. There are two rooms for hire - the Main Hall and the Campbell Room - and there is a modern kitchen available for every hirer.

The Hall is used every weeknight except Thursdays by a variety of clubs, as well as organisations that use the rooms on a regular basis.

Save our Phone Box Project

In August 2019, we launched a brand new project for the whole village to be part of - saving Dumbleton's iconic red phone box from being removed from the village. We're still raising funds and looking for help with the project and you can find out more here…

Hire the Hall

The Hall is a great venue for a wedding reception, party, club meeting or even a business meeting. We have two rooms available to hire, a modern kitchen and fibre-connected wifi throughout the building (powered by Gigaclear) – learn more about our facilities.

Hiring the hall is easy using our online booking system or you can email us on bookings@dumbletonvillagehall.org.uk

Regular fundraising events

The Village Hall is a registered charity and has to raise money for the upkeep and maintenance of the 100+ year old building. We have regular fundraising events, including coffee shops, wine bars and the famous New Year's Dance – see What's On here.

We have had support from the National Lottery, Big Lottery and Dumbleton Parish Council for the more extensive renovations.

The Committee

Since the Charities Act in 1971 a Committee of Trustees, registered with The Charities Commission, has managed the Hall on behalf of the village. The main purpose of the committee is to ensure the continuance of the Hall facility for this and subsequent generations, raising funds as necessary in order to meet these aims.

Annual General Meeting

As a charity, we are required to hold an Annual General Meeting every year. This is open to all residents in the village and we encourage everyone to come along to hear the latest about the Hall, its finances and its activities.

Our last AGM was held on 6 June 2019 and you can read the minutes here.

Our latest set of accounts for the financial year 2018-19 are available here
